Innovative security door closer from ASSA ABLOY
ASSA ABLOY Group has released an innovative product – ASSA ABLOY security door closer. It is the first door closer equipped with built-in electric locking device. This electric locking device for doors on escape routes consists of two parts: mechanical latch 807-10 that is built-in into housing of the door closer and specialized electric strike 332.80 for doors on escape routes that is built-in into the body of door’s sliding arm. Housings of new door closer and sliding arm were somewhat lengthened in order to mount inside the latch and the strike. Neither the electric strike 332.80 nor the latch 807-10 require any separate mounting place in the door frame or door leaf – they are fixed inside the housing of security door closer and sliding arm on specialized lengthened batten. In this way by installing new innovative door closer we immediately get an door electric locking device.
New door closer is qualified to be used with fire barriers (fire protective doors), smoke-resistant doors and for doors on escape routes (emergency and escape exits). It is very easy and simply to install new door closer. All you have to do is to fix the body of door closer and sliding arm to the door leaf and to the door frame with the screw. No sawing or cutting is needed, whole installation is laid on.
Innovative door lock requires the same regular mount holes as any other classic door closer according to DIN EN 1154.
