Kyiv metro introduces automated fare collection system

Automated fare collection (AFC) system has been put into operation in Kyiv metro on December 29th 2012. Being the first of the kind in Ukraine this system was designed by a number of domestic companies whose efforts were coordinated by CARD SYSTEMS LLC as a general contractor.

Creating AFC System for Kyiv metro was a challenging large-scale project that covered implementation of latest automatic data processing and transfer technologies as well as introduction of new passenger services in order to support Kyiv metro’s ever-growing traffic - currently peaking at 1.8 million passengers daily, 1.5 of which pay their fare.

CARD SYSTEMS’s specialists gained an invaluable experience integrating technological solutions of different generations in a single project of a scale unprecedented for Ukraine. This experience will be used by our company in future, such as in our lasting cooperation with “Kyivpasstrans” on the surface transport development projects.

STOP-Net 4.0 is a system that brings access control, intruder alarm and other highly effective security services to a wide range of facilities from offices, banks and business centers to educational institutions and industrial enterprises. This system is notable for its functionality and cost-effectiveness, great reliability and malfunction immunity as well as elaborately crafted architecture that allows installers to create individual design solutions for specific facilities.

Automatic parking system STOP-Park is designed for management of special parking areas to provide automated or semi automated vehicle’s entrance and exit, payment collection and statistic report features.

Monochrome Printer Tattoo RW (Rewritable) is designed for thermal plastic card printing (in blue or black). This technology allows you to erase and rewrite information on the same card for up to 500 times.
